01 — Where it started

In 2014, Renan Salinas quit his job with no plan B and opened a robot company in Bauru built to give people their time back.

Yank Solutions automates business processes with RPA and BPA: software robots that take over the repetitive tasks of banks, offices and large companies. The name and the logo came before me. From 2016 to 2020 I handled much of what came next: sales presentations, campaigns, the office signage, gifts, special dates and an education project.

In December 2024 Yank was acquired by Grupo Lecom, and Renan stayed on as CEO within the group. In 2025 he came back to me, this time to build his own brand.

02 — Sales presentation

Explaining robots to whoever signs the contract.

RPA still sounded like science fiction to many executives. The company presentation translated it into decision-maker language: market pain points, the solutions portfolio, Yank’s own framework, automation examples by department and the clients served.

03 — Behind the door

A robot company with a people culture.

For the team: T-shirts with the “God Save the Bots” motto, commemorative 2018 mugs and the season’s greetings card. Small pieces, used every day, reminding the people who built the robots that the company was made of people.

05 — Yank Academy · 2020

A school for mutant developers.

In the X-Men comics, Professor Charles Xavier searched the world for young people with rare gifts and brought them to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, the famous X-Mansion, to learn to use their powers.

Yank wanted to do the same in Bauru: find the region’s most promising tech students before anyone else. That is how Yank Academy, the company’s training arm, was born. Its debut would be a Design Sprint course, the method Jake Knapp created at Google Ventures, with 20 places and selection by profile.

06 — The recruitment

Twenty places. Only the best profiles.

00 of 20 places

Applications open to students in Bauru and the region.

Every profile, read one by one.

Only the best would be selected.

07 — The campaign

A launch in five phases.

Logo, seal, poster, event cover, eight posts, countdown videos and a video ad for feed and stories, plus badge, T-shirt and certificate. Each phase had its trigger: curiosity first, then the scarcity of twenty places.

08 — Renan Salinas · 2025 and 2026

When the founder becomes the shop window.

After the sale, much of the reputation Yank had built came to rest on its founder’s name. The personal branding work started by listening to Renan’s whole story and organising what it said about him.

“Don’t wait for anyone to come pick you up. You have to catch your own bus.”

His father’s lesson, which became the story’s compass

The origin story was written as a hero’s journey: a São Paulo childhood between his father’s pager and a typewriter, the fresh start in Bauru, the collections call centre where he discovered data, quitting with no plan B in 2014 and selling Yank ten years later.

Instagram and LinkedIn, each in its role.

11 — First report

+19.3%

Growth in Renan’s Instagram follower base in five weeks: 289 new followers. All organic.

Not a single post was boosted, on Instagram or LinkedIn. The growth came from the quality of the content alone.

On LinkedIn, in the same period, 95 new followers and over 2,000 impressions, with 32% of the audience in senior roles and 22% in IT. Posts telling his personal story topped the engagement ranking.
